1. What is Auto Assist LIVE?
Auto Assist LIVE is a mobile app that connects you to real mechanics through live video calls. Whether you're in the middle of a DIY repair or just need a second opinion, help is just a tap away.

2. How does the app work?
Download the app, enter your vehicle info, choose the session length, describe your issue, and you'll be matched with a mechanic who specializes in your vehicle type.

3. Do I need to be a car expert to use this app?
Not at all. Auto Assist LIVE is designed for beginners and seasoned DIYers alike. Our pros guide you step-by-step.

4. How much does a session cost?
Sessions range from $19.99/ $29.99 and $39.99 depending on the duration (8, 15, or 20 minutes). A $0.99/month subscription is required to verify active payment method and deter bots and fake accounts.

5. What if the mechanic can’t solve my issue?
If your issue can’t be resolved within the session due to mechanic inexperience or ineffective communication, make sure your star-rating reflects that upon session end. Also, go into Account - Transaction history - find most recent session and request a refund. Refunds can only be requested within 24 hours after a session, after 24 hours, refund requests are no longer valid.

Keep in mind, mechanics are here to assist you in getting through your current hurdle and get you back on track, their task is not to see the entire job through.

6. Are the mechanics certified?
Mechanics (“Professionals”) certifications and credentials are not verified… yet. We are running on an honor system but we are working on credential verification processes in the future. This is where you come in. Your star-rating and feedback matters. Mechanics with an average rating under 3 stars for 30 consecutive days are dropped from the platform. Mechanics with excessive refund requests from users (You), are also investigated and deactivated. Over time, your feedback will ensure only the best professionals remain. Mechanics are aware that their performance is weighed and monitored through ratings and refunds.

7. Is this a repair service?
No. Auto Assist LIVE is a virtual assist platform. We do not directly provide expert guidance, support, or advice. We provide the means of communication to connect your with those who are capable of assisting your DIY auto project. While we can’t guarantee your vehicle will be fixed during the session, we do guarantee you’ll get help moving past whatever is holding you up so you can keep making progress.

8. Can I favorite a mechanic I liked?
No. This is a truly on-demand service that pairs you with the mechanic who’s expertise is most relevant with your Vehicle Type and the issue category you are experiencing. However, feel free to leave them a 5 star rating! We are working on a ‘favorites’ system that will allow you to “star” mechanics you like. Allowing you to easily identify them from the ‘Available’ roster in the future.

9. How do I pay for a session?
Payment is made outside of the app on a browser powered by STRIPE. Once payment details are updated and saved, your in-app profile will reflect these changes. The only in-app purchase available is the $0.99 monthly app store subscription.

10. Is my information secure?
Absolutely. All video sessions are encrypted, and your payment information is handled securely through trusted processors.

11. Can mechanics make money using Auto Assist LIVE?
Yes! Mechanics earn per session and can also qualify for monthly bonuses. It’s a flexible, remote side hustle with real income potential. Professional mechanics can now work a cushy tech job! It really is the future isn’t it?

12. What kind of issues can I get help with?
Everything from brake jobs, diagnostics, oil leaks, sensor codes, engine noises, electrical problems, and more. Just tell us what’s going on, our mechanics got your back.
